Wireless wearable solution for biomedical signal acquisition
wearables
The objective of the project is the development of a wearable system for recording bioelectric potentials at low cost and wireless transmission. The best-known technique for the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases is the electrocardiogram (ECG), which makes it possible to obtain a non-invasive record of the heart's instantaneous electrical activity. This project will evaluate the use of paste technology applied to polymeric substrates and/or fabrics for the construction and integration of flexible conductors and electrodes using precision screen printing. It also includes the development of an embedded electronic data acquisition and wireless communication system for the transmission of biopotentials, aiming to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of the solution. The developed system should configure a wearable platform with the inclusion of other vital signs sensors. The development has the collaboration of researchers from the Micromanufacturing Laboratory of the Institute of Technological Research of the State of São Paulo (IPT) and the Bioengineering Laboratory of the Instituto do Coração of the Faculty of Medicine of the Hospital das Clínicas da USP.
